On May 11, marking the third anniversary of General Secretary Xi Jinping's inspection of Huanghua Port, China Energy Investment Corporation held a symposium in Beijing to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection of Huanghua Port. The meeting reviewed the implementation achievements over the past three years, analyzed existing problems and shortcomings, and laid out key tasks for the high-quality development of the transportation and logistics industry in the 15th Five-Year Plan period. Zou Lei, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group and Chairman of the corporation, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Feng Laifa, General Manager and Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, presided over the meeting. Xu Xinfu, Deputy Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, and Party Leadership Group members Fu Zhenbang, Yang Peng, Yimin Wang, Yan Guochun, Liu Jingshan, Wang Zichao were present.

The meeting pointed out that General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speech during his inspection of Huanghua Port fully reflects the great importance and cordial care the General Secretary attaches to the corporation. It provides a powerful ideological guide and spiritual driving force for the corporation's reform and development, especially the high-quality development of the transportation and logistics industry. Over the past three years, the corporation's Party Leadership Group has implemented the spirit of General Secretary Xi Jinping's three important speeches during his inspections of the corporation in an integrated manner. United with cadres and employees, we have kept in mind the instructions, been grateful for the encouragement, strived with dedication, and made new progress and breakthroughs in various reform and development endeavors. Standing at a new starting point of the 15th Five-Year Plan for the new journey, we must adhere to the principle of "taking the banner as the guide, striving for practical results, and taking the lead in development". We will fully and faithfully implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and instructions, firmly uphold the "Two Establishments" and resolutely achieve the "Two Maintenances" with concrete actions, and strive for new achievements and create a new situation with a more energetic fighting spirit.

Zou Lei emphasized that over the past three years, China Energy Investment Corporation has firmly fulfilled its primary responsibility of energy supply, highlighting its role as a "stabilizer" in energy supply; it has firmly optimized the transportation network, achieving leapfrog development of the "major corridors" for energy transportation; it has firmly served national strategies, demonstrating its role as a "main force" in the development of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region; it has firmly upheld the bottom-line thinking, consolidating the "fundamental foundation" of safety and environmental protection.

The 15th Five-Year Plan period is a critical stage for the corporation's transportation and logistics industry to further advance the "three transformations" and achieve an overall leap in quality and efficiency. We must fully build a new modern logistics system:

Strengthen the major energy transportation corridors, enhance integration with the national logistics network, and strengthen collaboration with other central enterprises to realize complementary advantages and joint strength.

Improve value creation capabilities, strengthen lean management, deepen the "Four Foundations Construction", accelerate the establishment of a modern logistics system, and improve market-oriented incentive and restraint mechanisms.

Upgrade technology-enabled development, implement the innovation-driven development strategy, strengthen key technological breakthroughs, and deepen digital and intelligent empowerment.

Accelerate the green and low-carbon transition, build more zero-carbon stations, zero-carbon port areas and green ports, and explore the development path of the "transportation + hydrogen energy" industrial chain.

Consolidate the political guarantee for development, further advance the study and education on establishing and practicing a correct view of political achievements, press ahead with the rectification responsibilities for inspection issues, deepen the special campaign against illegal dining and drinking, and continue to foster a sound political environment with integrity, entrepreneurship and motivation.

The meeting called on all cadres and employees of the corporation to unite more closely around the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, keep in mind the instructions and shoulder the mission. We will strengthen the main artery of energy transportation, build a new benchmark for modern logistics, and develop into a world-class new energy supplier, making new and greater contributions to national development and national rejuvenation.

At the meeting, three headquarters departments (the Department of Strategy and Planning, the Coal Transportation Department, and the General Dispatching Office) and four transportation entities (Huanghua Port Service Company, Shuohuang Railway, Railway Equipment Company, and Shipping Company) delivered exchange speeches. Assistants to the general manager, chief experts, and principals of all departments and relevant subsidiaries attended the meeting.
