The competition was jointly organized by the Anhui Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, the Provincial Department of Finance, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, and other government authorities. Nearly 1,000 enterprises participated in the preliminary rounds. After multiple stages of evaluation, 81 projects advanced to the final, among which 13 entries competed in on-site presentations and defense sessions
The award-winning technology enhances steam turbine efficiency through comprehensive flow-path optimization and energy-saving retrofits. By redesigning blade profiles and integrating advanced sealing technologies, the solution enables steam to do work more effectively, resulting in higher power output and increased electricity generation under the same operating conditions. Depending on project conditions, the technology can achieve efficiency improvements ranging from 7% to over 25%, generating significant economic benefits while also contributing to energy conservation and emissions reduction.
Since its establishment, YTS has been dedicated to the research, development, and manufacturing of high-efficiency steam turbines. The company specializes in steam turbine flow-path retrofits, efficiency improvement projects, variable operating condition optimization, and comprehensive utilization of waste heat and residual pressure resources in industrial applications.
To date, YTS has successfully implemented this technology across high-energy-intensive industries, including chemical processing, steelmaking, coking, and non-ferrous metallurgy, with more than one hundred benchmark projects completed nationwide. Individual retrofit projects can generate energy savings equivalent to over 1,000 kWh per hour, while a single project can create annual economic benefits exceeding RMB 4.2 million.
