12MW Back-Pressure Waste Heat & Pressure Recovery EPC Project Passed Performance Acceptance

2026/7/15

Recently, the 12MW back-pressure waste heat and pressure comprehensive utilization power generation EPC project undertaken by Anhui Yuteshuang Energy Conservation Technology Co., Ltd. for Shanxi Xiaoyi Aluminum Industry has successfully passed performance acceptance. We extend our warm congratulations on this achievement.

The original waste heat system of the client operated with a temperature and pressure reducing device, with inlet steam pressure of 8.83 MPa, temperature of 535°C and a flow rate ranging from 85 to 100 tons per hour, resulting in severe energy waste. The client planned to replace the original temperature and pressure reducing device with a 12MW high-efficiency back-pressure steam turbine generator set. The back-pressure steam is supplied to downstream production processes. By recovering waste heat and pressure resources, the project realizes cascaded utilization of energy and delivers remarkable energy-saving economic benefits.

Model: B12-8.83/1.2/535 Rated installed capacity of the steam turbine: 12 MW Rated installed capacity of the generator: 15 MW The unit serves as a replacement for the original temperature and pressure reducing device.Anhui Yuteshuang Energy Conservation Technology Co., Ltd. undertakes full-cycle work including project design, equipment manufacturing, supporting matching, construction and commissioning. The client is responsible for constructing new workshops and civil engineering supporting facilities for the turbine island.

The project adopts high-efficiency, high-speed skid-mounted energy-saving units with an output rotating speed of 6,500 rpm. A reduction gearbox reduces the speed to 3,000 rpm to connect with the generator. The unit features a shared base frame and an externally arranged oil tank. The project recently completed performance acceptance, with the measured steam consumption recorded at 7.97 kg/kWh, which complies with agreed technical standards. Since commissioning, the project has generated substantial economic benefits. In terms of contract performance, our company fully delivered all obligations covering equipment manufacturing and supply, foundation reinforcement, new unit installation and commissioning, winning high recognition from the client.

The successful acceptance of this project not only adds a benchmark EPC performance case of waste heat comprehensive utilization power generation to our portfolio, but also lays a solid performance foundation for expanding the northwest regional market. We welcome all potential energy-consuming enterprises to conduct on-site inspections and exchanges to pursue win-win cooperation, and jointly contribute to the national "Dual Carbon" strategic goals.
