"Rongguang" Large Model Released! China Energy Engineering Group Deepens the Deployment of the "AI +" Special Action

On March 16, China Energy Engineering Group (CEEG) held a meeting to further deploy the “AI +” Special Action, as well as a release and training session for the “Rongguang” large model. The meeting thoroughly studied and implemented the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on the development of artificial intelligence, fully implemented the work requirements of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC), systematically summarized the phased achievements of the company’s “AI +” Special Action, accurately judged the new trends and changes in the development of the artificial intelligence industry, comprehensively deployed the key tasks for the next stage, and pushed the company's artificial intelligence development to continue to forge ahead and accelerate to strive for the forefront.


Ni Zhen, Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the company, attended the meeting and delivered a speech. Li Xinsheng, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of the company, presided over the meeting and conveyed the spirit of the special meeting on further deploying the “AI +” Special Action for central enterprises. Huang Pu, Zhao Jianchang and Yin Qiang, company leaders, attended the meeting.


The meeting fully affirmed the achievements made since the launch of the company’s “AI +” Special Action, and emphasized that artificial intelligence is a core strategic technology leading a new round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation. Developing artificial intelligence is an inevitable requirement for serving the national strategy and fulfilling the mission of central enterprises, a core grasp for adapting to industrial transformation and seizing the development opportunity, and more importantly, an inherent need for the company to solve development problems and accelerate transformation and upgrading, which is an era proposition that must be well answered.


The meeting required that the company must take the important instructions and instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping on artificial intelligence work as the fundamental guideline, closely adhere to the concept of “Digital Intelligence for Efficiency” and the foundation of “Data as the Cornerstone”, adhere to scenario-driven, data-driven, technology-supported and safety-based development, focus on implementing the Management Digital Intelligence Connection Project, Industrial Digital Intelligence Innovation Project, Digital Intelligence Industrialization Leap Project, Data Valorization Activation Project and Digital Intelligence Technology Advancement Project, strive to realize the intelligent upgrading of core businesses, key breakthroughs in characteristic tracks and the comprehensive consolidation of penetrating supervision, and accelerate the creation of an artificial intelligence platform and products with CEEG characteristics.


The meeting deployed the key artificial intelligence tasks for the next stage: first, strengthen organizational leadership and build an efficient work pattern with upper and lower linkage and coordination; second, improve the working mechanism and create a good atmosphere of pooling efforts and striving for excellence; third, increase resource investment and consolidate the solid foundation for the high-quality advancement of the special action; fourth, strengthen implementation supervision and promote the effective implementation of various tasks and measures.


At the meeting, the company officially released the “Rongguang” large model. Five units including Tianjin Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd., China Energy Engineering Construction Group Co., Ltd., Southwest Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd., Central South Electric Power Design Institute Co., Ltd. and Gezhouba Supply Chain Co., Ltd. delivered exchange speeches. Before the meeting, the company leaders visited the AI Achievement Exhibition. The meeting also organized training on the use of the “Rongguang” large model and experience sharing sessions.


The meeting was held in a combination of on-site and video formats. Cadres at the level of Assistant General Managers and Chief Engineers of the company, persons in charge of all departments, business divisions, directly affiliated institutions, regional headquarters and subordinate enterprises of the headquarters, as well as relevant staff attended the meeting at the main and branch venues.
