The main markets for thermal power units plus energy storage and joint frequency regulation are Shanxi, Inner Mongolia, Shandong, Anhui and other places. In these areas, there are more thermal power assembly machines, less water and electricity, and insufficient flexibility in the power supply system. Energy storage has broad application prospects in the above-mentioned areas. However, for energy storage and thermal power unit combined with frequency regulation market, the earlier the company enters, the greater the profit. With the rapid decline in photovoltaic kilowatt-hour cost in recent years, "Photovoltaic +" energy storage may become a standard configuration and is an effective solution to the volatility of new energy power generation.
