Recently, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People’s Republic of China announced the list of 2025 Typical Application Cases of Remanufactured Electromechanical Products. Anhui Yute Shuang Energy Conservation Technology Co., Ltd.’s project “Upgrading and Remanufacturing of Core Components of Industrial Steam Turbines and Their Application — 60MW Steam Turbine Unit Technical Renovation Project for Shandong Xinlong Group” has successfully made the list after several rounds of selection. This case focuses on the energy-saving technical renovation of a 60MW extraction-condensing steam turbine that had been in service for 15 years. Through systematic remanufacturing of its core flow passage structure and implementation of energy-saving technological transformation, the unit's performance has been significantly improved and its service life has been extended. After remanufacturing, the steam consumption rate of the turbine has dropped from the original 4.66kg/kW·h to 4.30kg/kW·h, while the main parameters including rated power, inlet steam pressure and inlet steam flow remain unchanged, achieving an overall energy saving and efficiency improvement of over 7.72%. In terms of economic benefits, the project can create annual energy-saving economic benefits of more than 16 million yuan for the customer. In terms of social benefits, it has greatly reduced carbon emissions while cutting down energy consumption, realizing a win-win situation of economic and environmental benefits. Since the implementation of the project, the unit has maintained stable operation and excellent performance, becoming a successful model of “renovation instead of replacement, green upgrading” in the industrial field.
